The programme is offered to people who want to obtain the skills and knowledge required to perform joinery and cabinet making tasks. This includes application of advanced safety rules and regulations; communication in the joinery and cabinet making workplace; performance of complex calculations; construction of complex timber joints by hand; the usage and maintenance of portable power tools, pneumatic tools and basic machines; reading and producing detailed orthographic and isometric drawings; installation and replacement of timber windows and doors; manufacturing basic wooden doors and door frames; construct and install basic built-in furniture; manufacturing timber chairs, couches, tables and beds; transportation and storage of joinery and cabinet making materials and finished products; and demonstrating knowledge of HIV and AIDS in the workplace.
